We are going to be ripping out the rug in this room to replace with hardwood and I need the softest, squishiest rug $200 can buy. I want it to take up most of the room so 8x10 or similar size.
I don’t understand much about rugs and pile and all those details, but I do need it to be easy enough to clean well. We do have a good carpet shampooer.
I got a shag rug for my dorm room, thinking it would be nice and fluffy and comfy but I ended up hating it, it was impossible to clean and not very dense so you could feel the yucky binding of the rug or whatever the bottom is.
Does anyone have any advice please?
This IKEA rug has been under my bed for 10 years. I vacuumed and spot cleaned it, but I'm certain there is still dog and cat hair. It is in fair shape. Pickup in NEKC. It's pretty hefty, so you probably want something bigger than a sedan for transportation.
Love the Bronden rug from ikea found here for under my dark grey couch in the living room. But will she be a nightmare cleaning/I have a cat. Luckily my lady is super short hair and doesn't shed much. Actually her white litter shows up more now on my dark reg persian rug. But worried about the rare times she throw up, or when a pomegranate seed gets stepped on (we love a good pomegranate while we sit and watch tv).
I'm almost wondering if it'll be okay because it's not white white, but more cream. It's also wool- how is that to clean? I have a Dyson so not worried as much about dirt, but stains and my lovely lady cat's brown puke.
What ya think?
