This IKEA rug has been under my bed for 10 years. I vacuumed and spot cleaned it, but I'm certain there is still dog and cat hair. It is in fair shape. Pickup in NEKC. It's pretty hefty, so you probably want something bigger than a sedan for transportation.
This is not the rug! I couldn't find a pic of it in my house, so this had to suffice--it is the same rug, but not the exact same rug. This lived on our floor for maybe 4 years, measures 8'x10', and is still in great shape (though it could use a cleaning).
We are going to be ripping out the rug in this room to replace with hardwood and I need the softest, squishiest rug $200 can buy. I want it to take up most of the room so 8x10 or similar size.
I don’t understand much about rugs and pile and all those details, but I do need it to be easy enough to clean well. We do have a good carpet shampooer.
I got a shag rug for my dorm room, thinking it would be nice and fluffy and comfy but I ended up hating it, it was impossible to clean and not very dense so you could feel the yucky binding of the rug or whatever the bottom is.
Does anyone have any advice please?
