I've had both ikea (duvet set) and MUJI (sheet set) bedding and I think it's pretty equal depending on what you need. MUJI is slightly better quality and design (imo) but a higher price point, ikea is definitely cheaper for the less good quality stuff but for their worthwhile options similar in price/quality to MUJI. I think there's a few things to consider here: Are you planning on keeping these sheets post grad? Or are you going to upgrade/change bed sizes? If so, I'd find the best option (see questions below) for your taste at the lowest price point. What kind of sheets/sheet texture do you like? I personally love the crisp hotel type bedding and hate the warm, stretchy ones (hot sleeper) so I always look for 100% cotton/cotton percale and stay away from flannel and jersey. Lyocell for me also depends on the %, <30% for me is preferred (it adds a soft satiny texture, but detracts from the crispiness) Are you planning on just having one set of sheets? No matter what I always recommend at least 2. There will be times especially in college where you'll be too tired/busy/drunk to change your sheets and it's too much of a time or energy commitment to wash your sheets. Having a second set of sheets gives you the extra buffer so you don't have to sleep on a naked mattress. You could try one of each and see what you like for the future. Hope this helps! I'm moving into college soon and I am buying stuff for my bedroom. I've never really used comforters, duvets, or any standard bed sheets for my bed. I've been using old blankets from when I was like 10 and covering my bed in an old comforter thats probably the same age as me. I'd really like to make my new room look a lot nicer than it has been recently. Does anyone know if Ikea has quality bed sheets that are budget-friendly?

their cotton sheets are great, I love the dvala bottom sheets with elastics, bought several of those lol. and for the rest I got the blue square set , but their duvet cover sizes are very weird, my ikea only carries 150cm or 240cm, one is too tiny, the other one droops over the floor :/

I like the set up they have for warmth/coolness (for the duvet), the price-points, and the variety. Ive been using IKEA bedding since I was a kid. I like that they have 100% cotton options, as i find that most comfortable. I use them at home, and extended family use them at their Bed and Breakfast. They are good value for what you get and the return policy is excellent. My only advice is to stay away from the lowest price-point; Go for mid-level and you'll be happy.

I bought a queen Okenstjarna sheet set to go with my queen Matrand mattress. The fitted sheet has an extra foot on each side on the bottom and the flat sheet almost reaches the floor on both sides. I feel like this is too big. Would exchanging for a full sized sheet set fit better with a queen mattress or would it then be too small?

The sheet sizes are too big. I bought full for my full sized bed, and they seem to be able to fit a Queen. I had to manually take them in by several inches as there was so much loose material. This was for NATTJASMIN. The fabric is great, I just wish they were more correct sizing. I have a 20" deep mattress and they were still too big on my full bed.
