My mom had IKEA mattresses and they were so uncomfortable I knew not to make that mistake! I found their mattresses are weird sizes, bed frames are standard. Their website shows detailed diagrams with dimensions and they’re accurate within fractions of an inch. I also recently did wall to wall shelving in my library from IKEA. Measurements were exact online. You can also call them and ask for specific measurements if you need a dimension between something on the item and it’s not listed in the photos. I will check the bed frame I got for my son and reply back with it in the comments! I'm interested in buying the Tonstad storage bed from IKEA but don't want an IKEA mattress. IKEA bed dimensions /mattresses are 59 7/8" width and 79 1/2" length, so slightly smaller than a standard Queen, but how exact are mattress dimensions and bed dimensions? Any ideas?

The size is a correct US Queen size. Commercially produced mattresses are nominally 60”x80” but they are usually slightly undersized.

I've seen most people on here say that the Malm bed fits non-IKEA mattresses. However, the website says the mattress dimensions for the bed are 79 1/2 in x 59 7/8 in. The standard US queen mattress is 60 x 80 in. Will the 1/2 in difference in the length and the 1/8 difference in the width make a difference? Why is it slightly smaller than basically every queen mattress? Am I overthinking this lol

My new mattress on it's way is 75 x 54 x 10 . Ikea full size bed dimensions say the bed is 76 3/4 x 55 1/2 and customer service is warning only mattress of 74 3/8" x 53 1/8" is correct for the bed. But the problem is EVERY full size mattress on the market seems to be about 54"w or 75" L....does Ikea have different mattress sizing????? Is the 75 x 54 off by too much for a full size ikea frame?
