It’s not meant to stand alone and is not made to be able to stand alone (none of the shoe cabinets are). You could try using a LOT of heavy duty Command strips, but if you have kids or pets I would be concerned about them knocking it loose by climbing it, running into it, slamming the doors, etc. You could try attaching it to a large wood base to make the bottom more stable as well, but still use the Command strips to attach it at the top.
