Just venting, letting you all know, etc...
I've had some items in my cart the past few days, just waiting for black Friday. They were apparently already on the family discount, but only until the 26th. So when I pulled it up on black Friday, the 29th, my cart was $20 more expensive, lol. Wish I'd known there wouldn't be anything from IKEA on the alleged biggest sale of the year... I blame internet news people who said there would be, not the company itself, as it's obviously not American. But here I am to give the news the other people failed to mention.
Does anyone remember the discount and scope of the Ikea black Friday sale last year?
I'm trying to guess what this year's sale might be.
Thanks!
I’m looking to buy a new couch but not sure when Black Fridays sales begin in store

Remember, many deals require IKEA Family membership, which is free to join.
Be on the lookout for IKEA's Black Friday 2024 ad to be released sometime in mid-November.

Worth knowing:
Most deals are available both online and in-store, though some clearance/floor model offers may be in-store only.
Inventory tends to go fast, especially for larger furniture and popular seasonal items.
Sale categories usually include living room, dining, kitchen, textiles, lighting, storage, and holiday décor.
If you’re planning to shop, it’s worth checking the site early on Nov 26. The biggest discounts are usually live by then and stay through Cyber Monday.

The website says they do have sales but I’m wondering how widespread the sale is eg, just a few things or almost everything.
If anyone has experience with Black Friday and IKEA I’d love some advice!
Trying to get a Knislinge and Vannas for my new apartment, Fingers crossed they have a good deal on those in the US!
Thanks!
In the United States, do you think there will be black Friday specials? And if so what it could be?
Anyone know them? Have some things to purchase and not sure if I should order now with the $10 off $100 or wait until tomorrow. I'd hate to miss this deal if there won't be any, but don't wanna do this one and have a better one in just a few hours.
I see there is a $10 off per $100 spent and currently I have the Storklinta dresser and 2 nightstands in cart. Currently saving $70 for all that but not sure if it is the right time to buy.
Any chance this will be on sale in Black Friday? The $10 per $100 deal ends right before Black Friday lol
Thank you in advance!
So there's this couch I want
I know in some countries they offer discounts, so I wonder about your experience from previous years. Kiitos!
IKEA typically doesn’t hold a separate Cyber Monday event. Instead, their Black Friday (also called the “Winter Sale”) continues through Cyber Monday before gradually wrapping up in early January. Here’s what you can likely expect this year:
Sale dates: Expected to start Wednesday, November 26, 2025 (that's the day before Thanksgiving), and continue through Cyber Monday, December 1, 2025. The broader Winter Sale usually runs into early January.
Typical discount range: Historically 25%–60% off, depending on the product category.
IKEA Family perks: Members often get an extra 10% off select products plus dining discounts (weekday meal deals, free kids’ meals with adult entrée, senior specials).
Online vs. in-store: Most discounts are available both online and in stores. Some clearance or floor-model items may be in-store only. Free delivery on orders over $299 is usually offered during this time.
Featured deals from last year (2024):
GAMMALBYN Sofa – 50% off
SYMFONISK Speaker Lamp – 30% off
SOLHETTA LED Bulbs – 60% off
VINTERFINT décor – 40% off
Select cookware – up to 50% off
Charity tie-in: IKEA often matches customer donations to organizations like Save the Children during the Winter Sale.

G'day all,
I'm furnishing a new place from scratch and need to buy:
Bedroom furniture
Study setup (desk & chair)
Living room (sofa, TV)
White goods (fridge, microwave, washing machine)
My budget isn't too tight. I'm after mid-range quality rather than the absolute cheapest. For example, I've got around $2,000 for a fridge and I'm looking at LG French door models recommended on CHOICE.
With Black Friday coming up, I'm wondering whether to jump on those sales or wait for Boxing Day. I'm not in a rush to move in, so timing is flexible.
For those who've shopped both sales in recent years:
Which period generally has better discounts on furniture and appliances?
Has Black Friday gotten worse, or is it still worth it?
Also curious about strategy:
Scenario 1: I've got specific items already picked out and just want the best price on those exact models.
Scenario 2: I'm flexible on brands/models and will grab whatever offers the best value.
Would your advice differ between these two?
Cheers for any insights!
Hey guys, I just moved into a new unit which is not furnished at all. I was thinking wait until black friday to buy the bed and table, but I really feel this sleep on the floor thing is killing my back. I just want to know is it worth it to wait for IKEA's black friday deals here in Canada? Do they usually have surprisingly good deals for bed frame, mattress and table on black friday?
Another thing is I noticed that their table legs has been out of stock for several months, I'm just wondering will they be able restock them for black friday?
Lol is this a joke? Good luck finding stock in ikea even on a good friday!
Black Friday and that weekend traditionally aren't really big "sale" times for IKEA.
Best bet, sign up for an IKEA Family membership (it's free) and make your purchase. It should have a 90-day price protection policy where if it drops within 90-days you'd be refunded the difference.
If so, when will it start?
I'm wondering if Ikea makes a black Friday offers (I'm in Egypt) and does it worth waiting? Does they have enough stock or everything discounted becomes out of stock at black Friday?
