Finally, glass right there might interstate sunlight though the window and refracct to obnoxious places like your TV screen. What a beautiful room though. May 10, 2021Advice: tile the top of an oval coffee table from IKEA. Top is veneer with protective coat of lacquer
If I was going to do this I would sand down the top so that it’s rough. I would epoxy glue schluter schienne radius around the edge, then membrane like kerdi or similar or actual underlay depending size of tile going on top and whichever I had laying around, that would get thinset down with something heavy duty like laticrete multimax then tiled on top with same thinset and epoxy grout.

Never the glass top coffee table. It will always look dusty and feel fragile.
