Which ikea standing desk would you suggest ?
I like that the uppspel has the numbers but the legs seem kinda ugly to me, its way too much for gamer style.
Are the others same quality ? I want to purchase, but not sure how good they are.
EDIT: I only need the mechanism, since i'll buy a top from a local store.
Anyone tried Ikea's Standing Desks?
Adjustable Desk - Mittzon or Idåsen? : IKEA
Bekant - electric/motorized adjustable desk quality
It’s a decent adjustable desk for the money. But would I buy it again? The jury’s still out (owner of 3 years). I had to replace the power supply on year two. And now I think the motor may be acting funky but I can’t consistently replicate the experience to say for sure why or how.
You know what, I changed my mind. I don’t think I’d get another motorized desk like this. I’d probably try one of those manual ones. It’s just one fewer issue to worry about.
Edit: Some additional notes -- It's relatively light but stable in all modes; the surface is relatively easy to scratch and dent; it can take on pretty heavy load both on the desk itself and on the edges: At one point, I had a dual-arm desk mount that took on an old 24" LCD monitor and a 36" Dell on the other... both of which were tethered to the same pole, clipping to one edge fo the desk. Everything was still sturdy with no risk of tipping or the edge "breaking off". The Bekant divider screens also look nice with them. In retrospect, I wish I got two full length screens instead of one half-size one.
More on reddit.comAny personal review of this IKEA sit/stand desk? Looking to buy a desk at least 60”x30” and saw this at the store this past weekend. It was pretty sturdy which was good - but not sure if it’s worth $599.99 as I could go with something else online. Thoughts?
I put together a 60x30 standing desk for ~$305 by using a titan single motor frame ($285) and a $20 ikea table top. It's probably the exact same table top on this $600 desk you're looking at.
The frame is electric and has 4 programmable memory positions.
I remember the pain of considering buying a more expensive desk, and afraid to go with a cheap frame, and I couldn't find any reliable first-hand accounts... so I just posted about it here: https://www.reddit.com/r/StandingDesk/comments/b9efjq/titan_single_motor_frame_my_experience/

I'm looking to purchase a standing desk but after looking at reviews on amazon for one, it seems that I should be wary of standing desks that are electric as it can malfunction. I noticed that Ikea has a turn handle standing desk called the Trotten. Has anyone used it before and how did you like it?
