Hi everyone,
Was wondering your thoughts on putting a Micke add on unit on top of a Linnmon/Alex table?
My Linnmon/Alex is 120 cm long, and the Micke add-on is 105 cm long. Aside from the obvious length difference, do you think it'll hold up with the Micke on top? Also how about security of the hutch not falling on my face? The Linnmon isn't the most stable sitting on top of the Alex to begin with.

I accidentally bought the wrong Micke desk for my stepdaughter. We had intended to get the one that goes with the hutch, but we grabbed the OTHER one, so there were no holes in the desk to attach the hutch to. I just made holes in the back of the desk at the appropriate spots with a nail so I could put the screws in. If you have a drill, you could drill a small pilot hole instead.

I would DEFINITELY drill holes in the back to screw it in, and might even grab some large L brackets to attach on the back of the hutch and under the desk to help with stability.

I have the Micke desk with the two drawers and I love it, but I wish I had some upper storage like they used to sell as the add on.
Short of building the topper myself, what are some good hacks for storage?
Editing to add more specific details: I would like to have shelf space to put books and files and items like that. I do not need drawers. My ceiling height is 9’, so I have plenty of room vertically.

You need to be more specific as to what you have and what you want to do with it (do you want shelves or drawers? how many? how high? etc.).
