Hi there,
New homeowner hit by supply chain issues with no plumbing experience here.
I’m working on a kitchen and bath remodel and we hit some last minute snags with our vanity - the top arrived in two pieces, and the bottom has some QC issues. We’re trying to secure a backup in case the new top doesn’t ship in time (still going through claims) and the only big box store with 48” double sink vanities in stock is IKEA. Of course, their 48” double sink vanity tops are out of stock.
I was able to order a compatible top from Home Depot (drain hole only extends 2.4” below vanity top vs IKEA 2”) but now I’m unraveling the nightmare that is IKEAs “usable top drawer” cabinet design.
The objective: design water trap from each sink to hit 2” ABS Sani tees and (mostly) clear the back of the top drawer. The Delta drain assembly I’m using is 1 1/4” ABS.
I was thinking I would replicate the IKEA stock water trap with ABS but I’m not sure where to start. I just spent a few hours starting at the ABS fitting shelves and Home Depot.
Hi all, just seeking some plumbing advice on trying to connect my Ikea double vanity sink to a single outlet.
I know Ikea sinks might have a lot of critics, but it was the only double sink available in a 1 metre size that fitted our small bathroom.
Should I connect them both to a Tee piece, and then drop it down to the P trap and out to the exit pipe? Or should I have one sink dropping down to the P trap and exit pipe, and have the other sink connect to that ?
Any advice or pointers would be greatly appreciated.
