We have a Red Dot King Size Grusblad comforter insert. It did well in Connecticut winters. Lost our old (non-IKEA) summer insert in a recent move to southern Virginia. It is January, but so warm here compared to what we’re used to that I need a summer insert now instead of in summer. Should I just get a Blue dot Grusblad? Is there an even lighter step? I’ll need a new even lighter summer one as well, or maybe we’re looking at just sheets then, I dunno.

Hi just wanted to say that February 1 all the comforters in North America are changing. The dots seemed to confuse people so the packaging will be changing as well as the names. The new system will have options for extremely light(hot summer months) to extreme warm. I suggest checking out your local ikea because a lot of the old comforters are on sale or prices reduced

Perhaps a little late, but here's how you can check your warmth type: on the little product side tag, where it says "Grusblad", check to see if it has a blue dot, a red dot, or two red dots. Blue dot means cooler, and the new equivalent to that is the Stjärnstarr. If it has the red dot, it's a warm duvet (one), or extra warm (two), and the current equivalent to that is the Småsporre (warm/extra warm).
