Even with high lumber prices and renting power tools or buying hand tools you could make a sturdier much cheaper console table with 2x6 or 2x8 lumber for no more work than the ikea hack would require. Hello,
I’m browsing ikea basic furniture to use for a DIY project. I don’t seem to find what I need! Do you know if there would be anything good to use for my project ? Can you recommend me any? Or should I go look somewhere else?
I want to build a narrow table / consol to put behind my sofa. So it would be 98” long for 6” to 8” wide. I want it to be higher than my sofa (48-50” high) so my cat can sit on top of it to look out at the window (it’s in a basement). I’ll integrate shelves, and plugs for different items… Anyway, can you think of anything I can use to start from?
