Desperately in need of a new couch to replace the crappy non-Ikea one we bought 14 months ago which is already destroyed. Budget is tight, so Ikea is our best bet. We're looking at a few different models, and the Finnala leather sofa in golden brown is the front runner. We have a 70lb dog who loves to sleep on the couch, regularly leans on the back of the couch to look out the windows, and our main issue with him (gross warning) is some smegma issues. I cannot get the stains off our fabric couch, not even Folex is helping, and I'm hesitant to get another fabric sofa and risk these stains where I'm having guests sit again. Leather, specifically fake leather, is a lot easier to damp rag wipe than fabric is. But how does the faux leather hold up to a big doofy dog? Nails, boy things, toys, rolls, and the occasional muddy paw print. TIA!

I really like this couch but it’s limiting my office space for working at home. I feel like if I sell it no one would want it or it would be too undervalued.

I've heard that some Ikea products are better than others. I'm wondering about the quality of their leather couches and stuffed chairs?

Will they last me 25 years like the set I'm replacing?
