I am looking for the best Ikea product to use for a floating side table. I’d like it to be deep enough for a large lamp and also have a drawer. Any suggestions?

Single or maybe a double kallax cube with drawer insert. They will hang pretty easy on the wall. I used a 4x1 Kallax mounted above a TV.

I love mine that I made from a Moppe, but I fear it doesn't fit your lamp criteria. I do have a lamp on it (sometimes? I keep changing my mind lol) but I had to keep dimensions in mind. I use a desk lamp. I'm also considering a wall mounted lamp. Maybe. My Moppe mods: I took out the three small drawers, and moved the one wide one to the top. The bottom is a shelf now. I turned the drawers backwards, added knobs, and painted it how I wanted. I mounted it into the stud on one side, and used a drywall anchor on the other side (I tried to get both sides into studs, as its width should've worked, but my house is weird right around there I guess). Its weight limit is normal nightstand stuff, at least one full water bottle, plus one sturdy cat. I've had it for a little over a year and have not felt the need to change at all. It suits my needs! I also considered the Tarva nightstand. I was going to cut off the legs and mount it on the wall. I'm sure that would fit a wide variety of lamps. And they're unfinished, which gives you plenty of customization options, like the Moppe. The Rast might be a good option as well. It's more shallow than the Tarva, but wider and taller (once you've cut off the Tarva's legs). Ope, I just saw that they make a double wide Rast these days. Either that's new, or I just never noticed in the past. Either way, I'm talking about the single wide, with three total drawers. IMHO a factor in choosing would be the size of your room. If you have a ginormous room, the Moppe might look silly, as petite as it is. My room is very small (for a primary br), so I knew that if I chose the Rast or Tarva (or anything larger), I wouldn't have any room for a comfy reading/knitting chair in that corner of my room. The Moppe looks appropriately sized, and fits my needs. But IDK- sometimes other people are able to make things work that I couldn't imagine, so YMMV. ☺️

I am trying to come up with a plan for nightstands for my husband and I. Our space is limited and we're thinking floating would be good, since it would improve access to our underbed storage. I'd really like a drawer, and an open cubby. I'm considering using two small Eket units in walnut, and buying a single two drawer unit in grey. The drawers would be installed one each in the top half of the walnut units. Does anyone know of any reason why this wouldn't work? Thanks for any feedback and/or ideas!

I’ve done this almost exact thing but with white drawers. The main issues for me was having an extra empty white Eket, that lives next to our ottoman at the foot of the bed. If I remember correctly, you also have to drill your own holes, but just use the unit with drawers as a template.

Another possibility is a 1x2 kallax, with a drawer insert for one cubby.
