I'm planning on buying a couple of fold-out desks similar to this one and modifying them to no longer be wall mounted by placing a couple of drawer sets or simple pieces of 2x4 under them.

The problem I'm facing is that these desks are too thin for my purposes, measuring only about 6.5 inches deep when folded up. As such, I'm looking for an Ikea desk or a hack I can do to create a desk that folds out with this leg design while still being large enough to put stuff like a fold-out monitor arm into.

Are there any Ikea equivalents that I can look at and use? I don't have many woodworking tools like a jigsaw or hacksaw, so I'd prefer a premade piece of furniture, although simple hacks like this outdoor table (https://ikeahackers.net/2019/05/folding-outdoor-table-applaro-gateleg.html) are well within my capacity.

I'm looking at the https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/bjursta-wall-mounted-drop-leaf-table-brown-black-80217524/ and https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/norberg-wall-mount-drop-leaf-tbl-w-storage-white-20497928/ and wondering of there's a safe and durable way to reverse the hinges so that they fold up instead of down, adding something at the top to hold it in place when closed. What do you think?
