Hello all. New to sub. I have two Kallax 2x4 shelf units. I would like to add an insert with a cabinet door to one of the shelves but I would also like to be able to lock it. Not "keeping all my most prized possessions plus the Hope Diamond" secure. It can be basic af. Cheap. Any ideas or advice? Or have you done this yourself and can give me a play by play? Any help will be appreciated.
Are there any lockable cabinets at IKEA in-store or online? None at Charlotte NC
I have several cube storage units in our playroom. The issue I keep having is neighborhood kids thrashing the room. I want to be able to lock cubes place economically where I can dictate what is available to play with and what is not.
I was thinking a narrow bar or bungee cord that prevents the cube from being removed that I can lock somehow. I have 3 ‘9 cube’ units and prefer to lock them from the bottom up instead of sideways.
I know about individual locking doors, don’t want to do that if avoidable.
I don’t mind them playing with toys but Legos I’d rather be left locked up during play dates unless we pull out a specific set or something.
Any ideas or thoughts are appreciated.
