I originally had a Micke desk from IKEA, but I was never satisfied it and I didn’t love the tabletop on top of the two Alex drawers that I saw everywhere online. I happened upon this IKEA hack on YouTube that used the Alex drawers, but had a Komplement glass top and sliding drawer to join the two. I much prefer this setup because I like having a center drawer and showing off my palettes was only a plus.

Alex Drawer 2: Sunscreen, foundation, blushes, bronzers, highlighters, setting powder
Alex Drawer 3: Misc hair products and clips

I have it. It’s pretty good. This is my first ever makeup vanity though so I have nothing to compare it to. I love that it’s cheap, minimalist and cute. The drawer can be a bit iffy as in it doesn’t pull out very far but it’s fine. also because of the way the drawer pull mechanism works, it kinda snaps the drawer shut when closing if you just let it go if that makes any sense. But there are i wall secures you can attach. It’s long but not wide which is perfect for me as I don’t have much space. The drawer can fit a lot of makeup. I would say it’s good for a beginner. I bought an Amazon makeup mirror and I would definitely recommend that to go with it. Overall love it would recommend ☺️

I like it a lot, but the draw not pulling out all the way was very annoying because you couldn’t reach for things stored in the back. I eventually moved the pulley further out so i’d have access to the whole draw. However, I don’t think Ikea recommends you do this as the table can tip but you can bolt the table to the wall. It fits quite a fair bit of makeup/skincare, but if you have want more storage the Ikea hack of using two alex drawers and having the clear compartment in the middle is better.
