I'm looking for MALM owners or general reviews about this drawer (4 drawers, you can see it on the pictures).
IKEA is relatively new in my country and besides some furniture I had seen on trips, I have no idea about the quality of IKEA items. The web reviews are overall positive ones, praising its quality for the price, assembly and functionality. However, some comments posted here say that the new MALM drawers leave a lot to be desired due to a new security redesign in the US. I don't want to attach the drawer to a wall to be functional, but the size of the drawer is what I'm looking for.
Any opinions? Do you need to attach the drawer to the wall or you can skip it?

It seems Malm dressers are going to be discontinued soon, despite being one of the best selling styles of dressers. I'd be pretty disappointed if I'm not able to not get one. Are they going to be reissued perhaps?

Believe they are being replaced with STORKLINTA - nearly identical. They don't have that exact set-up in your picture available yet, but they do have a 4-drawer chest .
