I’m trying to design a very small mudroom space and am wondering if anyone might know what ikea base was used for this design? I want a base that’s slightly deeper so it creates a bench.

Is this a hack? We needed storage and organization in this entryway. The Sektion cabinets are all attached to the walls, but the kallax-as-benches can slide out in case they ever need to be replaced (water, etc). Wish we had enough height space to build a base for them. So far it’s all holding up to Midwest winter! Also added blanda matt bowls to accent the nymö pendant light (which feeds behind the unit and plugs in behind a kallax with a light switch by the bench)
Hello!
Just wanted some confirmation if this is a good idea - to set a SEKTION cabinet on the floor as a mudroom cabinet next to a 2 cabinet BESTA as a mudroom bench.
You might be wondering why I just didn’t get the taller BESTA, unfortunately my mudroom is only ~160cm wide. The 3 BESTAs would be at 180cm.
I will mount the SEKTION to the wall of course. Let me know!
Hi, I have a 1400 wide by 70 deep coats and shoes alcove in my entry hallway and thinking of ways to easily put together some storage.
I am looking to make something like in the first picture. (Even though this looks like CAD, it was actually done on my iPhone!).
I am thinking to use 2x nordli for the bench with a worktop cut to size and placed on top, and a Metod kitchen unit beside it. I would add panelling and a light on the wall above the bench and then a cushion for seating. What do you guys think? Would the nordli be strong enough and the right height for a seat?
Any other considerations? I will update..
DIY Mud Room
We wanted some custom looking mud room lockers and with some searching around came up with the following. ENJOY!!!
I'm assuming I already know the answer as the website rates the shelves with a 55lb max load limit but thought I would ask since I haven't had the chance to check them out in person.
Had a thought to use the side unit versions as mudroom storage/open locker type fixtures. Was looking to use a shelf/drawer mounted around bench height for putting on shoes. Any hope that the system is sturdy enough for that? Anyone do something similar?

Check out how these mudroom lockers were created out of just Billy Bookcases!
Small mud room - added the IKEA branch coat hangers for the kids, folding hooks for the bags, shoe cabinet and the peg boards. Bench is from elsewhere.
I have an area of my entryway that’s kind of like a mudroom type situation I guess, but I want to replace the existing built in bench from the previous owners with a cubby bench. I considered building one but I saw that people use a Kallax shelf with a piece of wood on top as a bench. The area I have is 70 feet wide exactly and the shelf is 57 7/8” I think. I don’t want the 6 ish inches on either sides to be empty, what could I do to fill the space and make it look cohesive/symmetrical?
I’m planning to do a laundry room/mud room hack.
We tore out a closet and are closing it in so it’s part of the laundry room. I have some ideas but I’d love some feedback before I get too deep! First pic is a few days ago. - 7 feet wide. I want to have drawers on the bottom- so I’ll use a Hemnes tv stand.

how much should I reenforce it before I put trim on the bottom? Do I need to add a base? Or L brackets?
I’ll use 1x4 and 1x12 s to frame out the center unit for hooks etc, adding trim etc.
I would like cabinets on the sides. To hide out of season jackets on one side and have cleaning stuff on the other. One side needs to have adjustable shelves- both need doors.
I am debating- do I buy a Billy or a cabinet? I want it to be durable but I have no faith in my ability to make adjustable shelves. I want the doors to match but I only need adjustable options on one side. I want to make it functional for all the things we may need. I’d love to add a drawer or too inside a cabinet to hold miscellaneous tools etc.
My originally idea was just to frame it out like the last picture and use doors to make it nice but I hate cubbies. Baskets break and then you can’t find another the same size
Last two photos are what I mocked up using ikea Pax cabinets
