So l am looking for a comfy chair for home office. I am around 190 and 74kg so no special need in these regards. I had a MARKUS for 10 years which was good enough and served well. One important thing would be a well cushioned seat pad as I have a FLINTAN but for my preferences the seat area is way too hard. I have the following ones in my mind: • A new MARKUS • STYRSPEL • JARVFJALLET • SMORKULL

I don't know when Ikea changed their chairs, but they are awful now. They have made them tiny and the quality is way lower than in the past. I was super disappointed when I went in to get a new one. And now I understand why so many new looking Ikea chairs are for sale on marketplace.

If it fits you Markus is probably best. But I’d avoid IKEA chairs in general, I’ve tried all of them in their showroom and had fit issues and found a lack of adjustability.
