They hold up really well! They look really nice by the pool. No one believed me when I said they were from IKEA! You have to pay for delivery or drive to IKEA and pick them up yourself (which, for me, is an hour trip each way) ... These chaise loungers were the easiest furniture item to put together.

Anyone have a long term review on IKEA outdoor furniture? I’m considering the Solleron modular but really want something that’ll last five or so years, and I don’t know anyone who’s bought outdoor items from IKEA. Thanks!

We have quite a few pieces of the applaro (chaise, table, chairs, bench). We are able to store it inside over the winter months (approx 4 months). We use the covers when it’s out on the patio/deck in season (approx 8 months). We didn’t buy it at the same time, our oldest pieces (5 yrs) look almost brand new. We are extremely happy with the line.

We love our IKEA outdoor furniture. We live in California, so we bought outdoor furniture covers from Amazon(boo to Jeff Bezos!), and it still looks good after 3 years!

I’m currently in grad school and I don’t have a ton of money to spend so ideally I’d like something nice that will not look terrible in a year. I saw these in person and they’re beautiful, but I’m nervous about how wood will hold up outdoors. This would be on a shaded balcony, that barely sees any sun haha. The balcony ledge is also pretty tall. I live near the ocean so I don’t know if the air will affect the wood too..this is my first place so I’m new to all of this stuff. Any suggestions or things I should know before purchasing?

We have this set for 3+ years now. It first lived outdoors for a year in Los Angeles where it got sun but little to no humidity or rain. We then moved cross country to Florida, used it indoors for a few months then moved to a balcony. It rains almost daily and it was not covered. Now it’s on our lanai where it is fully shaded. The only issue we had was the stain fading in a few areas on a couple chairs and part of the table top. It’s very easy to restain it though. No issues with warping or breaking at all.

APPLARÖ / NÄMMARÖ are nice funiture, but don't get them wet too often else you will have a warped mess after only a few seasons.
