I disagree. I have two big pax wardrobes, one for clothing, one for cleaning supplies and outdoorsy stuff and they are both super sturdy and they’re not even attached to a wall. I don’t wanna make assumptions but is there a chance you didn’t fully follow instructions or skipped some parts? More on reddit.com

Just a quick rant after building a PAX wardrobe.
The quality of the parts it’s absolutely awful for the price you pay and I will definitely never buy one again. Even fully built with shelves and hanging rails they feel flimsy and unsafe.
If anyone is thinking of getting them as anything other than quick makeshift storage, I would advise against it.

Not been my experience. I have 2 pax that are 12 years old ( and dismantled and moved house 3 times with) and just bought another and they seem similar quality to me. ( Only issue I have had was one fastener stripped the wood chip in the hole but I had forget to set the tension on my driver for a softer wood.) I have found that as long as they are built correctly with the back attached correctly and attached to the wall if possible, they are as good, or better than the equivalent priced competition. ( For cheap furniture) If you are near a store perhaps go in and find an equivalent to what you have, to compare, just in case there's a build error on your part or a quality issue on IKEAs part.
