I recently purchased the ikea Silltrut kitchen and wanted to make some upgrades - paint/ contact paper to match our kitchen, change out sink, etc. however, everything that I’ve seen on blogs & Etsy is for Duktig kitchen. Does anyone have any experience with Silltrut kitchen DIY? Are the sinks the same as the Duktig? Can I paint Silltrut kitchen the same way even though they’re made of different materials? Thanks!! 🙏

I feel like I’m making this a bigger deal than it actually is 😅 I’m heartbroken that the ikea duktig is discontinued and was wanting to buy it for my baby’s birthday & there’s none on marketplace. Do I bite the bullet and buy the ikea playset on Amazon for $150? Or do you guys have any other alternatives that you guys liked that you were able to transition into a functional kitchen as well?

I wasn’t able to find anything online that it was discontinued? On the IKEA app I see it on sale at $79 and they even have a new limited edition red one.

I got mine second hand but I would gladly buy one after having it. My granddaughter absolutely loved it. I was sad to see it go but it’s happy with its 4th family now.
