Warning about Tarva Bed Frame - They don't include enough of a particular part
What is your opinion on the TARVA bed?
so far so good. i just set it up after having it in a box for a year. it's LOW, the legs are kinda short. I have mine on risers..that makes it precarious if i knock it off, the boxes i have underneath tend to bump all the ribs and the metal spine out of whack and i have to pull the mattress off and set it all up again. but that was me.
So far i find the mattress, (not included) ridiculously comfortable and hence the Ikea box-springless design works surprisingly well.
Setting up the Tarva was a small pain in the ass if you are alone, but doable. I found the directions not as clear as usual, you have to examine all the holes on each piece of wood to make sure it matches the picture before you attach things. once the head board, foot board and rails are in place, it turns into an erector set project with a bunch of skinny metal braces and even tinier screws, which apparently keep the wood frame square and true.
As with a lot of Ikea designs they remove wood and its strength and replace it with metal hardware.
On the whole I am happy with it. I wanted something I could assemble and disassemble and haul up to the second floor when the time comes. I am extra wary every time i get in and out not to jostle it, as the layer of ribs under the mattress are't secured in any real way, just sort of balanced on the metal trim.

i’ve had this bed frame for over a year and love the look of it! however, i noticed my mattress sank in the middle and thought it was just because it was an old mattress. So I ended up buying a new mattress but it still continues to sink in the middle.
The slats that came with Luroy are curved, so i’m wondering if that’s the problem? or is it because the metal sides are higher than the center beam where the bed goes?
Anyone else ever have this issue?
