IKEA Hack: Easy DIY Live Edge Desk with Trestle Legs | Remodelaholic
February 3, 2022 - It needs to total 18″ wide to cover the top of the trestle legs and can be even wider since the base of the legs is wider than the top. The one thing you’ll need to keep in mind is that live edge is not a consistent width.

IKEA Hack: How To Attach Lerberg Legs To Linnmon — ULTRA SELECTIVE
July 30, 2020 - DISCLAIMER: The DIY steps described in this post will result in the fixing blocks giving support to the trestle legs and tabletop in order to keep the tabletop from sliding. However, the legs won’t be permanently attached to the tabletop. Your table will remain stable and secure as long as you use the desk as intended and apply common sense, as you would with any DIY project. Lay down the IKEA Linnmon tabletop—or any wooden tabletop that you’re planning to use with the trestle legs—on a flat surface, with the bottom side facing up (ideally on the rug, to avoid scratching the top surface of the desk).

You'll need IKEA MITTBACK Trestle Table Legs (2 per tabletop, I used 6) and IKEA LAGKAPTEN Tabletops (I used 3 at the size 63” x 31.5”). For the under-table storage shelf, you’ll need one 3/4” thick 4x8’ birch panel cut to 14.5” strips x the overall width of your table.

How To Make a Desk with Ikea Trestle Legs and Old Wood Flooring - An Oregon Cottage
July 24, 2024 - Measure: Set up the trestle legs and put the plywood piece on top. Measure how far in the trestle legs will be positioned, making sure you won’t be banging your knees on the center struts while sitting at the desk. Then lay the plywood on its back and set the trestle legs on it so they are sticking up in the air.

January 30, 2024 -
Not sure if it counts as a hack, but I was looking for something like that and couldn't find it. I made double desk using three MITTBACK trestles, and two LAGKAPTEN tops. There's also ELLOVEN monitor stand on it and EKENABBEN open shelf unit on side. Just by knocking with my fingers I figured LAGKAPTEN have a solid fill where the pre drilled holes are and around the edges. I needed my girlfriends help while mounting the tops on the trestles, because as you can imagine they were very fragile. Also, the top with square pattern makes the transition hardly noticeable. It's been a month and there's no issues with it so far.

So the middle one is screwed up into both? Lucky that your floor is level, had to zoom max to see the joint, nice and flush. Great reuse for computer stand. The monitor arm would be the biggest issue, versus a monitor stand. A wood trim 1” x 2”, maybe 24” under the back, to distribute the pinch force and torque force of the arm, maybe a small 3” trim on top too. The jaws of the monitor arm pinch can accommodate a lot more depth. Or steel plates. My arm has a triangle steel plate for the top, but only a thumb sized pincher for under. Adding a wide plate would help a lot, maybe just 6”. Look at the metal section for decks in a hardware store, get something that doesn’t bend easily. I just talked myself out of wood in favour of metal. Welcome to my TED Talk.

The Styled Life: The ever-inventive Ikea Trestle
I put Ikea trestle legs up there with Expedit greatness. They are pretty fabulous for a quick dining table, desk or side table on a budget and the color possibilities make it truly one of a kind. ... Add a few pieces of reclaimed timber and Voila! Instant industrial. Or you could go as far as to use the butcher block counter top from Ikea for a smoother finish. Any good Ikea hacker knows to think outside the box.

Cutting/pressing table: has anyone used IKEA Finnvard Trestle legs? sewing discussion topic @ PatternReview.com
I use Ikea table tops on legs, both storage legs and tubular legs, and placed rubber-like bumpers under some legs, but not under others. Just experiment until the table doesn't wobble anymore. Chair and Table Leg Protectors These are what I used, they come in black or white and being self-adhesive are easy to attach. Test how many, or where, they are needed before peeling the backing off. Whispers, those trestle legs look nice unfortunately I don't have enough space for them in this house, but maybe next time!
