I'm taking a class called 2D Graphics: Image Processing. It's a cool class where there's no assignments or tests. The professor just has you do these self assessments, and all he asks of us is to spend hours coding outside of class. So I'm looking for inspiration/ideas of things to work on as far as image processing goes.

So far we've learned how to do image transformations such as:

• Applying color filters

• Making an image grayscale

• rotating images in increments of 90 degrees

• Translating images

• Scaling images up or down

• Rotating images an arbitrary amount (i.e. not increments of 90 degrees)

We've also learned little techniques that go into these transformations, such as forward vs backward transformations, nearest neighbor vs linear interpolations, etc.

Any ideas or suggestions? I'm really just looking for seeds of ideas that I can then explore.
