I've seen some posts about [[Indominus Rex, Alpha]]'s interaction with a few cards and the ruling is not clear to me.
If [[Volatile Stormdrake]] is discarded. Does it get a "hexproof from activated and triggered abilities" counter? Does that allow me to get a "Hexproof" counter from another card?
[[Breaker of Creation]] grants 5 different counters of "hexproof from" for each color?
Same for cards that have "Trample over planeswalkers", etc.
My question is because the card specifies only "Hexproof":
As Indominus Rex, Alpha enters, discard any number of creature cards. It enters with a flying counter on it if a card discarded this way has flying. The same is true for first strike, double strike, deathtouch, hexproof, haste, indestructible, lifelink, menace, reach, trample, and vigilance.
I'm convinced those cards will grant counters based on these rules:
702.11e Any effect that causes an object to lose hexproof will cause an object to lose all “hexproof from [quality]” abilities. Any effect that allows a player to choose a creature with hexproof as a target as though it didn’t have hexproof will allow a player to choose a creature with a “hexproof from [quality]” ability. Any effect that looks for a card with hexproof will find a card with a “hexproof from [quality]” ability.
702.11f “Hexproof from [quality A] and from [quality B]” is shorthand for “hexproof from [quality A]” and “hexproof from [quality B]”; it behaves as two separate hexproof abilities. If an effect causes an object with such an ability to lose hexproof from [quality A], for example, that object would still have hexproof from [quality B].
However, it's not clear if Rex will get the variant or the base ability.

Legendary Creature - Dinosaur Mutant
As Indominus Rex, Alpha enters the battlefield, discard any number of creature cards. It enters with a flying counter on it if a card discarded this way has flying. The same is true for first strike, double strike, deathtouch, hexproof, haste, indestructible, lifelink, menace, reach, trample, and vigiliance.
When Indominus Rex enters the battlefield, draw a card for each counter on it.
I'm putting together a list for [[Indominus Rex, Alpha]] , and have come across some unique keyword creatures. Not sure how they'd interact. The cards in question are [[Eradicator Valkyrie]], [[Knight of Malice]], [[Sporeweb Weaver]], and [[Thrasta, Tempest's Roar]]. They have abilities like "Hexproof from planeswalkers", "Hexproof from white", "Trample over planeswalkers".
Let's say I discard all four of these cards to IRA's ability. Would he get the following counters and draw 10? ( Flying , Lifelink, Hexproof from Planeswalkers , First Strike, Hexproof from White , Reach, Hexproof from Blue, Trample, Haste, Trample over Planeswalkers )
If not, what would happen? Additionally, if I discarded just two tramplers instead, would he get two trample counters? Or is there a one-per-keyword limit?
I realize this card hasn't been released yet. Thanks for any help!
I am a huge I. Rex fan girl, I love the giant misunderstood psychopath so much I genuinely collect Indominus merch any chance I get (and if it's affordable. Oh boy there are some products out there that make me wish I was rich).
So obviously when she got her own MTG card, I instantly brewed a deck with her. Over the last couple months I've been fine tuning it and now that I'm finally happy with it, here it is!
THE DECK
As far as the deck's playability is concerned, she has roughly an 80% win rate, and usually she comes down with 5+ keywords at a time when I cast her. I'd say the most hilarious victory was a 2 hour game where she was a whopping thirteen mana when I cast her for the last time.
However I am a huge I Rex fan girl, remember? I can't stop at just the deck, it needs to be perfect. So I booted up my custom card maker and decided that every nonland, noncreature card had to be an homage in some way. I even made alters of some of the utility lands. 51 cards in total, and in the next couple weeks I'm going to be getting them all proxied up and put into the deck.
All of the art is screenshots from the movie or official concept art, with a few fan arts for cards that I couldn't really get a good official reference image for.
THE ALTERS
Obviously with this many alters, the noncreature portion of the deck is pretty set in stone unless something truly incredible comes out. If/when that happens I'll probably just keep the art/name/flavor text of whatever card it's replacing and just change the name and rules text.
If you have any questions about the deck, feel free to ask!
EDIT: After a deck update, it now has slightly less than 51 alters.
