Watch Ingmar Bergman movies in release order or watch his popular high-rated films first?
Definitely start with Wild Strawberries and Seventh seal. If you like those, try Persona. Fanny and Alexander is his masterpiece imo but it’s also over 5 hours so I’d probably work your way up to that one. More on reddit.com

Where to begin with Ingmar Bergman | BFI
July 14, 2016 - Given the size, scale and quality of Bergman’s output, it’s impossible to label any one work as the definitive entry point, but Wild Strawberries (1957) certainly offers an accessible introduction to many of his key motifs and narrative devices.

Ingmar Bergman’s Cinema | The Criterion Collection
The family begins to unravel when the captain invites Sally to live on the ship, where she and Johannes form a tender connection. Told in flashback and inspired in part by French poetic realism, A Ship to India marks a major evolution in Ingmar Bergman’s early filmmaking, demonstrating his gifts as a conjurer of beguiling images and a dramatist of lacerating emotions.
