Hello everyone.

Backstory: So I created my first Instagram account but Im having trouble with a couple of things. It's a bit embarrassing because I think most people learned Instagram educate while growing up during high school and middle school. I actually remember when Instagram was first created. I was in high school and all my friends begged me to create an account and I was completely against it because I was so self conscious of the way I looked I didn't see a point in posting pictures of myself. But now I think instagram is really cool, and wanted to create an online presence, especially because Im currently working on becoming a YouTuber.

Main Question: I can't get my information displayed vertically. I think its called the bio, located next to the profile picture. It's always horizontal and I hate the way this looks. Im too embarrassed to ask my friends because everyone around me is familiar with the platform and so naturally savy with it. Plus they are younger than me and I think they assume that everyone should just know how it works.

Also: So because like Im so late to the instagram party, does anyone know of any resources that can explain to me the ins and out of posting on Instagram. I dont even know the proper terminology for certain features within the app. Also isn't it a thing where people post older pictures of them selves on Thursdays? Throw back Thursday's? How do hashtags work?

So, I know making an editing account on Instagram in 2024 is very rare. And it’s hard to blow up with edits nowadays. But this is something I am extremely passionate about. So I was wondering do any of you have any tips or advice? I’m totally at a loss right now and could really use some guidance.
