Hey, I recently put together my (mostly) new build but now my IO-shield seems to be slightly... scuffed.

So since If I understand correctly, I have to reseat the motherboard and I'd rather not have to do it a third time, can someone please explain to me (like if I was an idiot), how to do this correctly? I've read you might occisionally have to bend the metal prongs before installing the motherboard, but which direction? Probably towards the motherboard right?
Also for reference, the "incorrect" IOs are Lan, USB 3c and USB whatever it is right (the red one), right?

The clip above your Ethernet port belongs on top of the port, behind the plane of the shield.

It's a struggle sometimes. It has to snap in place, not only in the case but between those USB connectors that it's bulging around. Don't be afraid to bump it a little with your fist or a small rubber hammer. If it still doesn't, look at the individual clips on the io shield, as they sometimes will get bent out of place, and may be the reason itself.

With normal PC builds, to install your motherboard you would pop your IO shield into place and then slide your motherboard onto the standoffs. But with a pre-installed shield, I think it would be trickier than that. I don't want to try to pop the IO shield into place while the motherboard is resting on standoffs because I'm worried about damaging the bottom of the board.
I've done some brief research and it's surprising how hard it's been to find videos of people mounting motherboards with pre-installed IO shields that aren't timelapsed or glossed over. I also couldn't find any explanation in manuals of motherboards with pre-installed shields about how to go about this.
How should I mount a motherboard with a pre-installed IO shield? Do I rest the board on the standoffs, screw it in, and then try popping the shield into place? Do I pop it into place as it's resting on the standoffs? Do I even pop the shield in at all?
In case anyone is wondering, I'm going to use a B450-F ROG Strix.

So i build my first pc today. And it took an hournin a half just to install the processor and mobo, then inrealized i forgot the IO shield. But it seems it only can be installed one way. So do inhabe to take it apart and add the io shield, or is there some complicated hard way to install it from the other side?
Also do i really need to install the IO shield? I mean eventually I will but right now my main concern is if it even runs right. And i dont relaly wanna take it apart to install an io shield put it back together o ly to find out it can't run anyways. Then take it apart again.

I'm pretty sure you mean the threaded stand offs when you are trying to align the motherboard with the 'nails'. Be sure to install the panel right-side up, but even then it can be tricky to align the connectors with the cutouts especially with the little EMI fingers getting in the way.
