Hi all, I have an old Intel NUC and trying to reinstall Ubuntu on it.
When I turn it on, I get this screen but none of the options work.
I use a wired keyboard and pressing any fn key doesn't work...
I'm unable to access the BIOS setup menu of the X230 I just bought, I am stuck in this "Intel Boot Agent" menu. I've been trying different combinations but I always end up in the same menu.
The F12 option from the Interrupt Menu takes me to the same "Press Ctrl+S to enter menu" prompt, where if I press Ctrl+S it takes me to the Intel Boot Menu. If I don't press anything it just hangs.

On mine "more used" ThinkPad when I boot "Intel boot agent" starts with output of cable failure something. Web search shows it is for network boot and:
To prevent the Intel Boot Agent (IBA) from executing:
Go into the BIOS and find the order settings for the boot devices.
Move the boot agent down the list after the hard drive or the device you prefer to boot from.
The boot order has USBs all over at the start, however even when USB Stick is inserted, I see "Intel Boot Agent" working for several seconds and then boot menu where I have to select "USB HDD", which is 1st in the boot list!
Any way to fix that? I don't use network boot. TIA
As the title suggests, I'm trying to access the BIOS to modify the fan profile. Unfortunately, it's a bit tricky... The method only works when unplugging the entire system, waiting a bit, and then plugging it back in, which then displays the "Intel NUC" logo. I need to be quick to press the F2 key during this boot sequence, as normally, pressing it during start-up or restart doesn't bring me to the Bios... and just turns the HDMI on and off during what seems to be the boot sequence, and immediately shows the Windows login. Even restarting via settings or the command prompt doesn't help, fast boot is off in Bios
