I think one con for MSI Claw that I've rarely seen, after owning it for almost 1 month, is the lack of an overall aftermarket ecosystem (ie amount of accessories/cases available, physical modding etc), which is understandable due to the lower popularity of the device, but it does missed out on some good case options like JSAUX mod case and transparent backplate, and battery mods etc More on reddit.com

Wow, that's significantly better than my A370m in some games. Hogwarts for example, I can barely hit 1080p 30fps Low with performance XeSS. I wonder if that's a memory capacity or bandwidth bottleneck on the A370m, because on paper you'd expect an 8 Xe core dedicated GPU with 35w of power to be faster than a 7 Xe core integrated GPU with a total APU power budget of around the same amount. Oh wait, the GPU alone is using 45 to 50w. That makes a lot more sense then. If you capped the power limit to the same 30 to 35w limit that the A370m is at, it should be a bit slower, or maybe about the same. More on reddit.com

if you can wait, i think it better wait for claw refresh. but if you tempted by discounted price today, claw and ally og differences now is minimal. some game have better performance on claw, some game have better on z1 extreme. gaming perspective (minus battery life) i think z1 extreme still best choice, as intel driver have some issue on several game (personally i cannot play jusant on claw) but overall, if we comparing claw and ally og, claw have better offering and possibly longevity due to component have more high quality (in theory no more stick drifting due to hall effect, better sound than ally, better colour reproduction on ips)

Hello
I‘m very new to the pc gaming handhelds and need help deciding which one to get. I read that the claw is with the updates and some tweaking now similar in terms of performance with the z1 extreme and since the claw is cheaper here for roughly 370€ and z1 extreme for 425€ I wanted to ask for advice.
I heard that some games just have problems with Intel and its compatibility and also the vram problem.
My question is will there be games that just won‘t start, keep crashing or just run very poorly and also are the technologies like frame generation same on both devices or are there differences?
Because my laptop is now quite old and can‘t run even less demanding games like indies well I‘d be dependent that it just works on the handheld especially for non crossplay games (cause else I’ve got a ps5) and don‘t care too much if the fps are a bit less than the z1 extreme.
The Build, hall effect, good speakers, connectivity and better screen for me are in favor of the claw. I also like the design.
I‘d be playing mostly Indie titles, early access games, Pc exclusives, online games with friends, and like some new games popping up and becoming trends like lethal company, palworld, helldivers 2, marvel rivals, etc.

Hey, Claw A1M ultra5 owner here - been playing on it for 1 week and would 100% recommend it. Pls don't discount my view based on the short time. If the price difference is just 50 euros the ROG Ally z1e would be the better option - just for that AMD chip and Asus's now mature software. But from using both devices - the Claw is similar to the Ally X in build quality and betters the OG Ally which has mushy buttons, less comfortable grips and is much louder. After so much bashing on YT, the Claw today is just so different. I can vouch for it, but I too would have bought the Rog Ally if the difference in price was just 50 bucks. Here in Australia the gap is $400 between the Claw and the Rog ally! Absolute no brainer. I now feel like I belong to a club of people who know a secret lol.
