My Asus H110M-A Socket LGA1151 VGA DVI HDMI just won't fit into its IO shield. I don't know if I am doing something wrong??

The metal tabs just prevent me from sliding the mobo into the io shield properly and I don't want to break anything.

Spent at least 2 hours trying to get it to fit, still not working.

You don't put the shield on by hand. You pop it in to the back of the case first. Once you pop in place, and put the motherboard inside the case and get it all screwed down it'll fit perfectly.

I know Im 5 years late, But i struggled with this for hours, after a while i realized one of the corners of the io wasnt pushed in hard enough on one corner, You have to push it in till you see the bumps on the outer side of the case show, sometimes it takes some force, I really hope this helped someboody

But it seems like the case has nothing to grip the io shield The IO shield should snap into place, push it in with a bit of force.

I tried installing it on the back but it won't pop into anything Well as long as it is fully seated the motherboard will hold it in place.

I'm trying to install my IO shield and it doesn't look like it fits into the gap for it. I'm using the Gigabyte H110m-a motherboard and a Cooler Master N200. I can only get the bottom corners to snap if the top corners are unsnapped and vice versa. Please help, it's my first time building and I have no idea what to do.

I'm installing an asus b550 Rog Strix F into a Thermaltake suppressor F31. I've tried pushing as hard as I can against the IO Shield slot, but it won't go in. Is it fine to just leave the IO shield touching the slot and screwing in the standoffs that align with the screwholes?

It doesn't always go in. Some if not most integrated IO shield just press really hard on the case. If you can align the screw holes with the standoffs, you are fine.

Or like a part that's actually connected pre-attached to the motherboard? ^This. If it just thin mental that clip to the case for connection slots on the board then didn't push in all the way, or didn't line up things and thin mental being pushed nothing to worry really.

Just push it in you are being too precious about it, you wont easily break it, you just need to apply a little more force in the corners.

If the io shield will absolutely not go in, just leave it off. Some of them are very tight and difficult to get in. Add that to sharp metal pieces and you need to be careful not to cut yourself pushing on it.

It looks like those tabs at the bottom of your pic are in the way. It's probably intended for non integrated IO shields. You may need to bend them flat, but see if someone else with an H200 knows more.

I have a NZXT 210 Source (Not an elite) case and I cannot get the IO shield on. Every tutorial I watch they just pop it in but that is not the case with my case/

It's extremely frustrating that such as small thing is stopping me from finishing the build.

Fixed the problem with the IO so all is well, now when I go to start the VGA LED is red and stays like that.

Is this something to do with power ?

For the Mobo's 8 pin power slot I had no wires that fit the required slots so I just plugged in one of the two wires. Is this okay?

For my first build, my IO shield was slightly too big for the opening in my case. It took a lot of force to get it in there.

Sometimes you just have to force what you have to work.

February 14, 2019 - So I immediately went to pull the motherboard out and re-set it correctly around the shield, like I know I'm supposed to do, when the second problem hits: the top screw closest to the I/O shield appears to be stripped into the standoff. (If looking at the board flat on the table from the side of the I/O ports, it would be the closest left one.)
