I was taking notes today where there was a lot of sunlight so I had to max out the brightness to even be able to see the screen nicely. And 2 hours of taking Goodnotes notes took about 50% of my battery life. My school isn’t exactly a dark place either and an average day at school is about 8 hours which probably around 5 hours would be actual studying and taking notes. I was thinking of replacing my notebooks with the tablet but now that I’ve seen how bad the battery is I’m thinking of staying with the classics and just doing additional notes at home. Does anyone else have similar experience? Maybe I just got a faulty model, because I find it weird for a device with double my phone’s battery capacity (87% bh iPhone 13) to last almost identical to the tablet

Does anyone feel that the batter life on the iPad is trash?
The battery life on the 10th gen absolutely sucks! I’m coming from an iPad Air 3 and I can use it as an extended screen for my MacBook, stream shows, play music, etc and still have 60% battery left. My Air 3 will last days almost a week without charged. My iPad 10 is on 40% after only being used for 2hrs as an extended screen.

The advertised battery life of the iPad is 10 hours of "normal" use, so probably the battery life of your iPad 10th gen is fine. My Air 3 will last days almost a week without charged Probably you weren't using your iPad Air 3 as much as you are using your iPad 10th gen.
