Is it worth getting an iPad Air over a 10th generation
I'd say yes. The Apple pencil support is just a lot better. No weird adapters or janky cable setups necessary to charge it, you just leave it attached on the side and it charges. It's just a much better user experience. The screen is also laminated on the Air which besides the looks makes writing feel a little better. You probably wont make use of the better chip, but it's something you have to take into account regardless since it adds to the objective value. If you are a creator/ do creative work like photo or video editing get the 256GB version… if not then get the 64GB version. Also iPads work fine even if apple pulls software support for them for a few years…. I’ll suggest an iPad 10 or get the 5th gen air 4th gen will probably not be as good considering you want to rock one till 2030 More on reddit.com

Long term, definitely. The 10 has the iPhone 12 processor. With the air 5, you have a M1 chip or M2 with the 6 Edit : for your usage, the 10 should be okay, but having such an old processor doesn’t make me very confident for the long term usage.

Torn between the iPad 10th gen and iPad Air 4. I plan to use an iPad mainly for Goodnotes and some light drawing (procreate). For budget reasons I can only choose between those two iPads. Context I’m a nurse who plans to use it for work in the hospital.
Despite the 10th gen being newer (2022) compared to an air4 (2020), I’m drawn to the magnetic charging and features of the pencil 2nd gen. But I plan to use the iPad for 5 years or so, so I’m concerned about if they’ll stop supporting the 2020 air4 compared to the 2022 ipad10 after 5 years.
Which do you guys suggest I get? Also for both iPad I’ll get the 64gb since the main purpose is just goodnotes and some beginner level drawing. Minimal pics and vids if there are any since I have a 256gb iPhone.

If both were offered new I would say air 4 but since that was discontinued long time ago I’d say 10th gen new. You can find them on sale usually on Amazon
