I use my apple pen a lot to annotate my work because I prefer it. My current case is the typical tri-foldable one that elevates the iPad slightly so I can write better, with no keyboard.
But I was thinking of upgrading to a case with a keyboard as I type as well. But most of the cases with keyboards are inconvenient for annotating comfortably. Pls share some advice if you have any :)
I have an iPad Air M2 2024 11" and looking to get a keyboard case. Have looked at Logitech and Magic Keyboard but both have a space for the pencil pro to just stick to the side. Does anyone have recommendations for a keyboard case where there is a secure slot for the Apple Pencil pro where it can charge? (Not a loop). I would bring it to work daily in a backpack and the pencil would definitely fall off and get broken. Thanks!

Been using my iPad Air 11 every day lately—for work, reading, and a bit of drawing.
Still trying to find the best “setup” that feels right.
Do you guys use a case or go bare? Just wondering what most people prefer—especially for people who use it on the go.
hello, I was wondering if there were any cases that is JUST the kickstand with a pencil holder, similar to the case in picture
the problem is a lot of these cases are sold as keyboard cases where the keyboard is detachable, but I am wanting a case with just these parts to it, as the keyboard part I don’t really care for + it makes it really expensive
thank you!
Hey guys,
Planning to buy an iPad air gen 3 for college use. What keyboard case would you recommend that can accommodate a good keyboard and the apple pencil?
I use Fintie keyboard case from Amazon. Cheap but with truly awesome quality!
Check out Snugg. I used their case for my iPad Air 2 and now have one for the Pro. Not sure if the Air case has a Pencil slot but my Pro case has a recessed, spring loaded slot for the Pencil that holds it in securely
I’m thinking of getting the Magic Keyboard but I’m open to other suggestions for this, I want protection, backlit, good key travel, not too heavy.
i was just mislead by an incorrect product description and ordered a Pitaka case, since their website listed it as compatible with the iPad Pro and iPad Air, but it turns out it isn’t compatible with the iPad Air 5. i should’ve researched better.
i’m aware of the Coverbuddy case that is compatible with the iPad Air 5, but the reviews have me hesitating as many say it is bulky and cumbersome and that the iPad doesn’t snap properly, or that the pencil holder is in the way of the volume button. i do use an Apple Pencil, but i have a separate pencil holder so i don’t absolutely need my case to include one.
i was wondering what were your suggestions or experience with such cases, please? thanks in advance!
Recently bought the m4 ipad pro 13 inch for medschool. Im planning on taking all my handwritten notes on it with the apple pencil, however i really wanted a case with a keyboard. The apple magic keyboard looked fantastic, until i realized theres no pracitcal way to write with the pencil while its actually in the keyboard. Does anyone know any keyboard that also allows the ipad to be layed flat (or semi flat) for comfortable notetaking? If not, what case would you reccomend just for the notataking aspect?
I just bought the 2024 IPad Air 11’ M2 model to replace my 2014 model. For years, I’ve loved the Logitech keyboard case. When I look for a keyboard case for my new Ipad, I am dismayed to find Logitech models all come with the TouchPad. I detest using a TouchPad and hate the way it takes up space on the keyboard that could be used for the actual keys.
Zagg makes a couple models without the touchpad, but their reviews lead me to question if that is aa good option.
Any recommendations for a non-touchpad keyboard for the IPad Air 11” M2 model? Ideally, it would also provide decent protection for the Ipad. I use my IPad several hours a day, so battery life for the keyboard is an important consideration for me.
TIA for any suggestions!
Hi All! I use my iPad primarily for procreate so I always have my pencil with it. Except when it falls off in my bag or around the house. Does anyone have a case that holds the pencil that they recommend? I love my case now but I need to have the spot for the pencil. Looking to spend under 50 for it. Thanks!
EDIT: Thanks for all the tips, I went with the ZUGU case! Well see how this one does!
Hi friends!
I just got the iPad Air 13" primarily for taking notes in nursing school. Which case(s) do you recommend that are the best for writing with the Apple Pencil? Thanks in advance!
Edit to add: I don't need the case to have a keyboard!
I've bought a new iPad Air 11in and a Pencil Pro and have been doing research online for a case to buy. I'm worried about getting a case and having the magnets interfere with the pencil (something I've seen people complaining about online). Are there any reputable brands that don't have this problem and aren't 50$+? I'm trying to find something mid-range, so between the 10-15$ random Amazon cases and the super expensive 50$+ cases that a lot of people are recommending.
I am looking for recommendations on a kid friendly (for 8 year old) case for the iPad Air 5th Gen, that also can hold/charge an Apple Pencil (Gen2). Most of the cases I am finding are not so kid friendly in offering maximum protection (ie very thin?) from accidental drops, etc. (example for what my daughter currently has), which is not compatible to hold a pencil.
New case doesnt need to be quite so bulky, but I do like that its basically a bubble + screen protector too.
Ideally if there are multiple color options, even better. But if not, its fine.
I’m trying to choose a case for when I get an iPad Air M2, but I, wondering if you’d ever actually use the keyboard on an iPad case. I think it would be cool to use it like a laptop, but I’ve heard the keyboard can be quite low quality on the cases that aren’t more than 100 dollars. Btw If you have any case suggestions please comment them
I’m looking for one that charges/holds the apple pencil and has a swivel grip. But im open to new n better things :)
I want to keep apple pencil to be stick with charging area of ipad pro. But since magic keyboard doesn't have holding cover, I would like to look for some solid options for pencil covers that can be used with magic keyboard. I see some magic-keyboard compatible cases.
