It seems the new MKB weight is 580 grams for the 11” and ~~680~~ 662 grams for the 13” based on https://www.provideocoalition.com/review-m4-ipad-pro-in-the-edit-suite-part-1/. But, can someone confirms if they have received theirs?

If it’s true, this means the new Logitech Combo Touch would be lighter. The 11” version is 474 grams and the Combo Touch is a ‘touch’ lighter at 660 grams for the 13” version.

Total weight (tablet + keyboard):

Combo Touch: 918 grams and 1,240 grams.

MKB: 1,024 grams and ~~1,260~~ 1242 grams.

Add about 20 grams for the Apple Pencil.

Personally, this might skew me to go with the Combo Touch for the 11” version, and I’d rather go with an MBA or MBP for a 13” device given there’s no weight benefits (understand about the touch screen parts).

I found it so hard to find the weight of the new Magic Keyboard. Thanks for posting! I have a 2018 iPad Pro 11” with a Magic Keyboard and I think the keyboard’s biggest disadvantage is its weight (followed by lack of protectiveness). So I was curious to see if the new combination improves much on things. Here are the weights: 2018 iPad Pro: 468 grams Magic Keyboard: 601 grams Total: 1069 grams 2024 iPad Pro: 444 grams Magic Keyboard: 580 grams Total: 1024 grams So no, it’s not a big difference. Interestingly, due to the lack of protectiveness I was also considering the Logitech and the ESR keyboards, which look quite good. I also can’t find their weight posted anywhere! So thanks for finding the weight of Logitech’s product.

There is dozens of reviews listing the total weight of the 13 inch model + magic keyboard at approximately 2.75 lbs, but I'm going crazy trying to find anyone who can tell me what that would be for the 11 inch model for comparison before buying.

Has anyone found this information or can weight theirs?

Glad I’m not in desperate need of an upgrade yet, I love that the Smart Folio keyboard I put on my iPad air is only 306g. Gonna try to hold out until they start making these sleek folios again so I don’t add 5/8ths of a pound to my lightweight setup. I can’t justify an 11” tablet combo that can’t even fold flat around the back and is within a 1/2 lb of the 13” MacBook Air.

I’d be happy to weight it for you later (if no one else jumps in with it before then) once my cat decides she’s done with my lap lol
