Looking to output my 2021 m1 iPad Pro to a tv to watch movies. Which one of these works the best? Can I get a generic one or do I need the official one.
Almost any USB-C to HDMI adapter will work, but I would stick with name brands like Anker or Amazon Basics. I just use the cheap Amazon basics C to HDMI cable, and it works perfectly. One note is that when connected directly to a TV the iPad does not always full the fill screen like airplay will.
Note I am not sure what the second one you were asking about was, there only seems to be one photo.

Yes it is. It’s a M chip device so it’s still very useable even today. To be honest there hasn’t really been anything yet that has even come close to hindering any M1 chip devices yet so the likelihood of Apple (if they are smart enough to know to not cut off a device that clearly has no issues using any features) stopping update support anytime soon is very slim. The M1 chip is that good that since its release every other M chip (so M2 to M4 currently) don’t feel that much of a upgrade for people so they end up staying on their M1 devices. Like I mentioned we are now on M4 chip devices which is 3 whole generation newer than the M1 so for the M1 to still perform this well shows how good M chips are.
