Hello-
A friend is selling me his iPad Pro 3rd gen 256G for the same price I would get a brand new iPad 9th Gen 256 (~500 USD includes Apple Warranty he already pay)
Truth is I don't need that much power, I only use it for Netflix/Amazon/HBO/Youtube and dummy games such as Angry Birds. I know how he takes care of his Apple stuff, its immaculate!
Would it make sense for me to go for the Pro 2y older or better on going for iPad 9th gen? Im coming from the Samsung Galaxy world so don't really know much about Apple stuff.

I would suggest the 3rd gen iPad Pro. That will get you the better ProMotion display, compatibility with the 2nd Gen Apple Pencil which means magnetic wireless charging, and much better sound with 4 speakers. Also of course you get a bigger edge to edge screen with Face ID.
