Just got a Zugu case myself. Solid protection all-around, and has pretty sturdy magnetic propping legs and a sleeve for an Apple Pencil. It’s also pretty slim and sturdy as well. Probably the slimmest you can get with all-around protection. More on reddit.com

I just purchased a Zugu case and it has surpassed my expectations with security (grandson dropped about four feet on tile floor no damage). It also has nice reclining options and a secure slot for Apple Pencil. More on reddit.com

Hi y’all,
My skin recently started feeling sensitive to silicone and had to return my Smart Folio case. I loved it. It was light, minimalistic, and magnetic at the back. Apple recommended me not to use it, and said it’s not uncommon. Very annoyed I can’t use it anymore. Now I’m in the market for something either similar, or more protective, and not sure what to get. I’d prefer to have a case that sticks to the back magnetically though.
I was wondering what cases everyone else uses and why, so it can maybe influence my next purchase and also for others in this subreddit.

In my mind, there's only Apple, Spigen, ESR, and Otterbox, but I'm not sure which sure brand has better quality or durability. If you guys can give me some recommendations, i'd be appreciated it!
I definitely don't want the case to be too heavy or thick, but good enough to protect the Ipad pro 11 edges.

I’m personally using esr rebound case. It’s a folio cover but also has an extra back cover that protects the sides of the ipad as well and magnetically attaches to the folio part. I detach the ipad from the folio part and use it with just the back cover (def helps with not being too heavy) on when I’m using it while holding it and for the rest of the time I reattach it back to the folio part. Tho nothing can beat the naked ipad feel but the tradeoff with the back cover is worth it for the safety it provides unless you have apple care.

I don’t have any recommendations just be careful that the case you buy will let you charge the pencil while the case is still on. I have to remove my case to charge my pencil and it’s a fucking hassle.

If you need impact and water resistance while using it might be difficult to combine with the Magic Keyboard, it would be better to use the iPad standalone with a heavy duty case from one of the third party suppliers.
