When I first bought this phone almost a year ago I always charged to 100%, rarely overcharging. Occasionally I drain the battery to 0% and charge it then, or if I need to go out and think the battery won’t suffice, I’ll charge it then too (maybe from 20% upwards). All along my Battery Health has been 100%.
Last month I decided to check my Battery Health after months of not checking and to my horror, it was 91%!? I immediately Googled methods to retain a decent Health and decided to keep my phone battery between 30-80%. I admit I haven’t been true to this always; sometimes my phone battery falls below 30% and I still use it but generally I don’t charge above 85% any longer. Exactly a month later today I checked my Health again to monitor if this method really works and guess what? My Battery Health is now at 88%. What the heck is happening 😭
I was an Android user before and as we never had this feature I was never concerned with my Battery Health but from articles I read online this is a major thing for iPhones? Am I overreacting?
What do I do to keep my Battery Health at its optimum? It’s only been a year and this phone is meant to last me at least 3 years but at the rate the Health is deteriorating is this even possible?

My iPhone battery dropped down to 92% capacity in 8 months, is this normal, or should I use it less, I just use it at school and home, and not heavy use, just music and google docs, and Minecraft, I have optimized charging on, and leave my phone to charge overnight, I have to charge it twice a day now if I use it heavily, but if I use light tasks it lasts throughout the day.
