The feature I'm most excited for iPhone 12 is actually the camera. It is the biggest upgrade we've seen for a while.
People are crying about how shitty the event was but all I could think about was how good the cameras are!

The Long Term iPhone 12 Camera Review
... and here's the first new in depth post on our new website. Most reviews have to operate under time-crunch, so I really took my time to write a comprehensive review of how the iPhone 12 holds up as a camera. From ProRAW to Night mode to even infrared captures of the LIDAR, this covers most if not all of the parts of the still-photography camera on iPhone 12.
Hope you like it!

I'm susprised not many people talk about the improvement in camera and brush it off as just minor iterative upgrade. The larger f/1.6 aperture, new optical image stabalization, bigger 1.7µm pixels, 10-bit HDR, ProRAW, are all improvements that would see significant meaningful improvement in photos and videos. Personally this is a way bigger driving force for me to upgrade than 5G or faster processor which is already fast enough currently that I probably wouldn't notice much of.
Continuity camera is great, but having to set up and take down your phone can be annoying, especially when using an external monitor. Not to mention being out a phone.
The high quality webcams get up to about the $300 range, but if I can get an old iPhone 12 for a similar price, I can use continuity camera and all its features instead. Not just resolution, but the native software, white balance, auto focus etc through this method seems like it’s not a bad idea.
Full disclosure, I half just want someone to present a better option. And also it’s not really for me but someone I’m helping who has higher concern for their camera quality.
Hello to all of you!
I have been analyzing the photos taken with my photos from my previous iphone 12 and 14 pro and besides the technology Apple is using for converting 48MP to 12MP photos, which I think that there is no high results.
Also the Lidar sensor but I am not able to see the big difference, just in night photos and difficult to appreciate if you do not see both photos at the same time.
Is there any website for comparing all the sensor with examples?
