Here are some pics of it: https://imgur.com/a/Qhx9F4s/
The last pic is my iPhone X inside the case. The case has just the slightest lip on it, but I'm pretty sure the magnet will be the main thing holding the phone in place.
Does this case feel “rubbery” and “grippy” silicone where it would get stuck in pockets and sucks to get out? Or is it smooth like the Apple Watch bands silicone? Love cases that just glides into my pocket, I’ve had silicone cases in the past that was quite difficult to get out of my pocket as it was so grippy.
What colour phone and case everyone getting?
Pacific blue is hard to pick a case for that isn’t just black or white.
Apple, a multi trillion dollar company, has the ability to make products that are not only ground breaking, but also life changing. One of the products was the iPhone, a smart computer that can fit into the size of your hands. Owning such a device is expensive, and naturally people will look into buying a case. Many people buy cases from Apple thinking "Oh Apple should be making quality cases." In reality, it's the complete opposite. Apple silicone cases are in the premium price range with the worst quality. Many people have complained that their cases have not held up well in months, while other case brands often last the whole lifespan of the phone. Apple definitely does not get enough heat for selling trashy cases that break in a day. Do better, Apple.

Mine aren’t doing so well
I was looking for any recommendations on silicone cases for my iPhone 12. I like silicone cases and don't want to spend $50 on one from Apple. I rarely drop my phone and if I do it's either on the carpet or a drop of < 3 feet. I want something that won't tear up with barely any use and is preferably cheap (idc if it's some random Amazon case as long as it's not some bot product with fake reviews).
For those that bought the original Apple Silicone Case, how is it holding up for you guys?
I’m tempted to get the Capri Blue for my Pacific Blue 12 PM but the price is raised by $20 compared to previous iPhone models (currency things I guess) so it’s kinda hard to justify the price.
I do prefer having original items but I’ve seen complaints regarding peeling & scuffs with minimal wear.
Had mine since late december and, sadly, it’s already showing some age.
Most of the edges have started to wear and the top has a small chunk broken out of it. All this despite the fact I’m not taking it around much since I’m studying at home.
If you can grab it on sale, it’s an awesome case. For 50 bucks? I wouldn’t.
I bought the Deep Navy silicone case for my blue I12. Looks even better in real life than it did on videos I watched.
As for the wear, I've only had it for 2 weeks, it does not pick up much fingerprints or other smudges, however it does pick up on dust and since it's silicone, it's a bit harder to wipe it.
For the short amount of time I've had it, I have not had any wear yet so I can't tell you how fast it will degrade.
We are talking an over 3 year old phone, this is ridiculous. I wouldn’t care if the damn things lasted, but they are absolute garbage quality. They chip or crack within 6 months every time. I just haven’t found a case as low profile that doesn’t inhibit use of the phone and thumb reach.
So I got my iPhone 12 Pro a month or so ago and then got myself the MagSafe clear case and am pretty disappointed. The buttons are hard to push and the case started braking at the bottom bc I took it off a few times and put it back probably too brutally... anyway I was wondering if the silicone case is better? Does anyone have it and could confirm that the buttons are intact easier to press than the clear one? Or might the leather case be better?
Also I really want the MagSafe feature so I don’t want to use any other cases.
Edit: thanks for all the comments and suggestions! I ordered the silicone even if the leather might be fancier and little nice according to some.
Edit2: for anyone reading this later, the silicone was nice but the corners really started peeling a little at the top and it was very sticky in the pocket so i went with the Leather case now after all all.
Go with the leather case .. also some of the 3rd party MagSafe cases on Amazon are good.
I have been using the leather one from day one and it’s been perfect for me.
I’ve used both (and also the leather). The silicone is 100% better than the clear case. I prefer the leather for a little more grip but the silicone is solid and buttons are not as hard to push.
To anyone thinking of getting the Apple silicone case (not clear) or anyone needing a good, solid case that doesn’t add bulk and looks and feels good, just get it.
It is by far the best case I’ve put on this device. It feels great and adds less bulk than most other protective cases I’ve seen and tried.
I purchased a silicone case back in October last year. The Silicone appears to be peeling off from four corners and I wanted to know if I am eligible for a replacement under the one-year warranty. Could someone advise me on whether this is covered?
I've had the iPhone 12 with the Silicone Case from Apple since the start of November. The case attracts dust like no other case I've ever had. Is it something to do with this case being 'magnetic'? This is my only thought. Had multiple silicone and leather cases for previous iPhones and never had this issue. Apple Support don't really care when I questioned it. Anyone else experienced this?
Will sell this case and look for a new one. Does anyone have any suggestions? Preferably leather. Love the Bellroy designs but trustpilot reviews and Amazon reviews put me off.
I just got an iphone 12 mini after 4 years of Android and I love it! That being said, I also purchased Apple's silicone case for the 12 mini and am not impressed with the finish considering the price.
I've noticed an uneven "lip" in the middle of the sidewall of the case on the top and right side that isn't present on the bottom and left portion of the case. Since this is my first Apple phone in a few years, I'm not sure if this is the expected quality of finish Apple has for its cases or if this issue with the overmolding isn't normal and I should look to return the case.
Has anyone else had this issue or am I being too critical of the case?
I was thinking of getting one of the new spring colors of the apple silicone case for my 14 pro. Are they really worth the price? I am deciding between the Apple Silicone cases or one of Nomad’s sport cases.
I’m planning on ordering the iPhone 12 pro max, and am conflicted about what case to go with. I’m coming from an iPhone XS Max.
I’ve used and loved the Apple leather cases, but they aren’t very durable, and a bit expensive. I picked up an Apple silicone case, and love the amount of protection it provides, but I can’t stand the buttons... they aren’t very clicky, especially not compared to the leather cases.
My criteria is that I want a thin case, that provides a basic level of impact protection. I usually run with tempered glass screen protectors, and I want the case to have a small lip above the screen for protection. I prefer the buttons being covered, but want the buttons to be as clicky as possible (like with the Apple leather case).
The leather cases don’t hold up to falls very well, and the silicone ones grab onto my pockets a tad too much, and I don’t like the button feel at all. Any advice?
Tempted by Spigen. Don’t care much about MagSafe for now. In my head the Apple leather case made out of TPU with the same metal buttons would be perfect. I like the idea of the Pitaka cases, but prefer the buttons to be covered...
Might be something that’s well known, but I got the clear case for the 12 and 12 pro now. Expected it to be silicone/soft. But it’s a clear plastic case, and feels kinda slippery.
I was leaning towards returning it, but it seems that the nicest color silicone ones are sold out now.
Bonus: to get a better picture of the white ring, here’s a picture of it on my green 11 pro. https://imgur.com/a/HYce647
Clear plastic like all the previous clear genuine Apple cases. If it was silicone it would be described as such on Apple’s website, but it even says polycarbonate.
Just return it and get another from elsewhere or a silicone one.
It’s because silicone starts to yellow pretty quickly.
Polycarbonate is more resilient.
How is your case holding up ?
