Does the Iphone 13 come with a USB C cable or USB A? If it uses USB A, will using a USB C harm the phone?
12 W USB Vs 18W USB-c PD charger
If money is a variable to you then the 12w power brick is better (it uses the same lightning to usb-A cable). If not, go grab the 18w brick which requires you to have a lightning to usb-C cable. According to this test it’s only a 15 min difference so overall the 12w brick is the better buy.

Apple isn’t hyping up MagSafe as the new way to charge your phone just to switch the port to USB C.
It’s not going to happen, portless is the endgame.
Data transfer is the only issue, and I’m wondering if integrating a smart connector into MagSafe would be a solution they’ll go with.

It’s mostly due to the fact that people want this universal cable to be adopted more, once apple does this it will be adopted EVERYWHERE. And that’s really why you don’t see the benefits of it yet, but imagine once everyone is using USB-c no one will need a different charger. Also the fact that it has higher transfer speeds on 3.1 gen 2 and faster charge speeds. It’s really the user that is holding us back from this being widely adopted.

I feel like if the iPhone was gonna be USB-C, they would have done it by now. They'd sooner take the port away entirely at this point.
