I don't wanna throw away my 2 meters lightning cable that I would use with my previous iPhone.

I guess you could but why not just use the cable you have already? It still charges your phone. Or if you need fast charging, get a longer usb-c to lightning cable and use the other one elsewhere in your home/office/wherever.

No it’s not a problem at all. I use the original Apple 5w charger that came with my iPhone 5s to charge my iPhone 11, 13, and Samsung A32. Since all the devices I’ve bought after the iPhone 5s came with lighting to USB-C (& no updated charger) I bought some of these adapters that adapt the charger from USB-A to USB-C. You’re just doing the opposite of what I’m doing. I have 4 brand new cables that were sitting in boxes and when my last USB-A to lightning started to fail I got these adapters and started using the updated cable with the old charger. I figure why let the cables go to waste and once I can’t use them anymore, which will be a long ways off, and or they wear out I’ll recycle ♻️ them. Since I have an AppleTV remote and controller that also use lightning cables, whether I have a phone that still uses them or not, I’ll still need them for a few things.
