Just incase you haven't started, please make sure the port is clean of debris. 9/10 times it just needs cleaning.

It's not at all uncommon for the pins inside to get bent or damaged causing the port to fail. The repair itself is fairly straight-forward for an iPhone. It comes in various colors so the inside of the port matches your phone case, although in practice any color will work; it's strictly cosmetic. · iPhone 13 Lightning Connector Assembly · Don't forget to pick up a sheet of precut adhesive to glue the screen back on when you're done! Hi Rachelle, · No, unfortunately it's extremely rare for Apple to reuse parts between different models of its phones. Some of the SE series phones do reuse parts from a previous model, but I don't know of any cases where you can use a part between a regular and a Plus or Max version. The lightning connector assembly for your phone is not compatible with the 13 Pro; you'll need one specifically made for the 13 Pro Max. You can use any of them, but there will be a color mismatch just inside the opening to the port that will be visible when the charger isn't plugged in.

I went to Apple to have mine cleaned because my phone wouldn't charge when plugged in. I read not to use anything made of metal, don't do it while the phone is on, use air etc. So I took it in and the woman pulls out basically a metal toothpick and just starts scraping the dust and debris out. Fixed it lol.
