This article explains why cases turn yellow. It's the material Thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU). So look at the material of a case and if it says "TPU" or "TPE" (TPE is an older cheaper version of TPU AFAIK) then it will yellow.. Polycarbonate (PC) is a hard clear plastic, and it does not yellow. Apple cases are 100% PC, but they are also unpleasant. I bought one and returned it because it started to crack, was expensive, and was unpleasant to hold. For example, Spigen Liquid Crystal just like all soft clear cases is TPU and will yellow in about 5-6 months despite any marketing claims. But they are cheap on Amazon and I used to just replace it every 6 months for about $10. I currently use Spigen Ultra Hybrid MagFit . The back is Polycarbonate and won't yellow. The edges are soft TPU and the edges will yellow over time though I had one for a year and never noticed it. It's less noticeable on the edges and it depends on how much heat it is exposed to. So no matter what case you shop for, just understand the materials. PC won't yellow but TPU/TPE will. Either live with some risk of yellowing and don't pay too much so you can replace it or pull a replacement guarantee with the manufacturer (often requires you to buy directly from them for a higher price, not amazon) Or shop for a PC case like this one (just a randomly chosen one.). Search Amazon for "iphone 13 pro max polycarbonate case". EDIT. Never Mind, it looks like this one is a TPU/PC hybrid as well. Honestly most PC/TPU hybrids hold up really well and aren't expensive. Review about the Magsafe clear case from Apple

I used one for the iPhone 12 for a year. The open bottom is pretty unfortunate and it is just hard plastic. So don't expect it hold up very well from even the smallest drops. Looks wise, it is amazing. It did not yellow. Scratches were not bad enough that it bothered me like rubber clear cases did. It is very slippery and WILL FALL out of any sweatpants with ease. Sitting down I almost always had to take it out and put it on a surface. I managed to get one for $20 because a guy bought the wrong size and just wanted some money back. That's pretty much the only time I can recommend it. If you get a really good deal. $50+ for hard plastic that cracks easily is not worth it. More on reddit.com

MagSafe Clear case iPhone 13 Pro

I do this as well. I work in dust every day so I have to have a very enclosed case for work, but always prefer a naked phone at home. Never damaged anything. Especially with the pro lines with their stainless steel edges
