Get the iPhone 13 Pro if you want a solid all round phone with more cameras, video options, general "pro" features such as the 120hz display (smoother experience) and a little more control over everything on a settings level... Do bear in mind, it's a heavier device, and rather thick/premium feeling in comparison to the base iPhone models. I would argue this option gives you far more value for money though. Also, the Alpine Green colour option is beautiful imo. Get the iPhone 14 if you want a solid all round phone that doesn't have any extra bells and whistles, settings and additional Pro level options. It will be lighter and slightly thinner making it more comfortable in general use, and is slightly less "premium" of a device. It basically depends on your use case, if you care a lot about camera versatility and quality of device, the 13 Pro is the option. The only time the 14 is the choice is if you really don't need the extras and want a solid base level iPhone. Answer from MuseumPiecePie6 on reddit.com

I currently have an SE 2 and I want to upgrade to something newer. My screen time is 1-2 hrs a day, I use my phone for the basic tasks. As for photos, I don't use it for professional photograph, or anything like that. My budget is around 500 buck, and for that money i could get the iphone 13 pro or for 350 buck the iphone 14. There are the 2 phones that I would consider buying in the first place. Is the 13 pro worth the extra 150 bucks in your opinion? The most important upgrade would be the 120hz on the 13 pro.

I’m currently using an iPhone 11 (64GB) and planning to upgrade. Both the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 14 are available at the same price within my budget.

Based on your experience, which one would you recommend and why?

This will be my 1st iphone and we all know it's not cheap so I just wanted my paycheck to be worth it. So your opinions would help me decide. Please also tell me why you are choosing it. Thanks for those who will answer decently.

I know the 13 pro has a lot of good features but the ones I really care the most are the extra RAM memory and the extra core on the CPU. Based on this features, do you guys think the base Iphone 13 is good for future proof even with the 4GB of RAM? Do you think the base Iphone 13 will last ...

Hi! Please help me decide what I should buy between iPhone 14 or iPhone 13 Pro? My budget is at $1,000 to $1,100. I’ll upgrade from iPhone 7+ and I’m for longevity and camera features.

Apple in our country sells the iPhone 14 at $1,050 including tax.

Hello guys I'm looking to buy an apple phone and I can't decide between the 13 pro or the 14.

From what I've seen they are basically de same phone but the 13 pro has the extra lense, but what do you guys think it's more worth it.

Do you guys think the Iphone 13 pro will have the same software updates as the 14 since they have the exact same chip?

My partner needs to upgrade her very old iphone and would like a better camera - should she upgrade to the iPhone 13 Pro instead of an iPhone 14 Pro? Looks like refurbished iphone 13 Pro 256GB models can go for as little as $730, versus an iphone 14 Pro 256GB which Apple sells for $1099 (as usual, Apple pulled the iphone 13 Pro from its store, worried it would take away from sales of the 14 Pro). How do the cameras compare?

Which sites are the best resellers of refurb iPhone models?

Hey

I'm an Android user at the moment. I have always been a fan of iPhones, and after having a great, satisfactory experience with a range of Android smartphones through the last couple of years, I want to now shift to the iPhone.

My brother and I will both get our first iPhones together, in a few weeks. He will be getting the iPhone 15, while I am confused between the base iPhone 13 and 14. Please do not suggest me to go for the 15, as we have decided according to our budget.

Could anyone please help me out with choosing one between the two? I need to make a decision in about 2 weeks.

The main factors are:

  1. RAM

I'll go for the 128GB model. My current storage on my Android is 128GB and I've never faced any issue. Is 128GB on an iPhone the same as on Android, or is there any difference? The 13 has 4GB, while the 14 has 6GB. My current Android phone has 6GB. To the ones with the 4GB 13, is it manageable for someone with a couple of apps with moderate-to-heavy use, 2–3K photos, and just regular use of the phone? How do you all manage it? Has it been easy/smooth? Any drawbacks? I think the 14 wins in this aspect as its got the bigger RAM (6GB).

2. Camera

I want a good camera that clicks decent/appealing pictures. Is the 13 or the 14 better in this aspect?

3. Battery

I heard the 13 has a better battery than the 14. I want my phone to run for 4–5 years. I've read a lot of posts with negative opinions about the 14's battery and how it degrades really quickly over time, and that scares me, honestly. Or is it just certain cases? Anyone here with a 14 that has a good, healthy battery? Does the 13 win in terms of battery?

4. Support/updates

As I will use my iPhone for 4–5 years, which one would last longer? Which one would work well even after it stoppes receiving iOS updates? Now, I assume the 14 would work for an extra year or two as it was released a year after the 13. I read posts on this subreddit about how updating to a certain iOS version messed up the entire phone (13/14). So does the phone work well without necessarily always updating to the latest version? Does the 13 or 14 win in this aspect?

Please let me know. I'd really appreciate the info. Thank you!

(No bias, please! :) Honest opinions only)

r/iphone on Reddit: Am I missing out on much by going for the 13 Pro instead of 14 Pro?

Hi All

Yesterday I ended up upgrading from the standard 12, I went for the 13 Pro mainly for ProMotion and the green colour. I’ve never had a Pro phone before so I’m pretty excited.

However, I’ve noticed the 14 Pro is only like £5 more expensive a month, my phone isn’t arriving until Monday so I could cancel it.

What do you think? For such a small price difference am I going to miss out on a boost of power from the 14 Pro? I’m not too won over by the dynamic island - the MP upgrade from the camera might be nice, but I know these days that megapixels aren’t everything, not a big fan of the colours either and really love the green 13 Pro.

This is a 2 year contract so I don’t wanna regret my purchase.

So I can get the 13 pro with 1 TB for about the same price as the 14 pro with 256 GB. Which one would you choose?

I don't care too much about the dynamic island feature. I just want a strong camera, strong battery life and a good display. I ´really like to shoot short videos with my phone. I wish the Pixel 7 pro came out in a more compact form factor.

My bestie's sister is planning to buy her an iphone, Bestie currently owns iphone 7 (both of us got a matching iphone 7 in 2018 in rose gold, not necessary to bring out but oh well) and she've always wanted to buy a new phone, an iphone specifically.

But since iphone has been very expensive before and now, plus her mother is earning enough money for groceries and rent so she never got her wish. She's a very hardworking, smart, funny, lovable and sweet person, she studies very hard especially since she's in another country now continuing her studies. So she deserves every bestest of the best.

Her older sister started working and earning good amount of money, and she told me that she's planning to get her an iphone, and that she's looking for good deals currently, and told me that it's a surprise so i shouldn't tell or i'll become her next meal.

We were both browsing through electronic stores and found iphones that is set to her price range. She wanted to buy iphone 13 or iphone 14 with 128 GB. However i personally think it's not good since bestie will keep the phone for years so of course it's reasonable to get a big GB like 256 GB. 512 GB is impossible due to the price.

Bestie wanted an iphone with 3 cameras, and bestie's original plan was to buy her the iphone 13 pro with 256 GB (which i strongly agree and it's also on sale AND on her price range too!)

Bestie's sister also found iphone 14 plus which is also in her price range.

We are a bit undecided on what would be better?

What does bestie likes in a phone?

  • An iphone

  • 3 Cameras

  • Battery of course

  • And absolutely big GB (her iphone 7 is 64 GB and she's been struggling)

My pick is iphone 13 pro, because of the list of the above, but since she's gonna keep it for a long time, iphone 14 plus is it because it's the latest one.

So what do you think?

Would I be better off going with the newer base version of the iPhone (14), or the previous 13 pro version? Will the iPhone 13 pro stop receiving software updates much sooner than the 14 and hardware wise is there anything better in the 14 because it’s newer? Or is going for the slightly older 13 pro for a little extra money more worth it? Also wondering how the camera compares between the two, assuming the 13 pro is better but how much better? I’m looking to keep it long term (currently have an iPhone 7 I’m updating from), so the main thing I want from it is to last and be functional for as long as possible as I like to keep my phones until they’re no longer functional.
