I hate the battery life on my note 20 ultra exynos variant. The major reason for upgrade is stellar and consistent battery life on iphones especially the plus and max . I don't have the budget for 13 pro max or 14 pro max as they are really expensive in my country (40% more than plus) . But I'm coming from a 120 hz display which i have been using for past 2.5 years. Will I be disappointed with iphone 14 plus 60hz? Contemplating between that and s23 ultra for that only reason.

I'm thinking about upgrading the phone I'm typing this from right now (the LG G6) but I'm having problems deciding between the 14 Pro & the 14 base model? The dynamic island looks useful but I could easily be without that I feel. The faster processor and higher refresh rate has me leaning towards the Pro (but) I'd love to know whether or not the difference in speed/performance is noticeable enough to justify the £200 price difference between the two. I'll mostly be calling, texting, and browsing a few social media apps as well as youtube. I don't play mobile games very often if ever.

For me it’s more noticeable when I pick up an older device and it seems less smooth. Otherwise I feel that’s not enough to upgrade for as some claim to not notice at all.

I have a 13 mini and 13 Pro. I'm going to be selling the pro after using it for a year. At first it was super noticeable but after time the 60hz didn't feel unusable. I have a high refresh rate gaming monitor and can 100% tell the difference between something running at 60hz vs 144hz, but for me on the phone it's not a deal breaker, even though when I first got the pro I thought I'd never be able to go back. Hopefully that helps.
