Im a long term overnight charger and have optimized battery charging switched on. I personally either use a 5 watt charger from my old phone or a Qi wireless charger which doesn’t result in any heat whatsoever. Results have always been good. My last iphone (used for 2 years) was a 12 and i had 88% battery health when i sold it a week back. Edit: a 5 to 7.5 Watt Qi wireless charger.

None. The iPhone will draw the highest wattage it can take. 45 is overkill, but you’ll def be maxed out. If you already have the charger, might as well use it. Also, make sure you have a lightning cable.

Yeah, I’d always buy a high wattage charger so it can be used for laptops, tablets, phones. As the previous poster stated, it’s totally safe and the device will only accept the max wattage it can handle. ⚡️

For prolonging the battery lifespan of a new iPhone, do you recommend using 5 watt official Apple charger USB A type cable or the 20 watt official product. Generally the 20 watt generates more battery heat as i m aware. What is the best practice?
I usually though about using the 5 watt when im not in a hurry and the 20 when i need juice fast.
Is there any real downside of using the 5 watt as its not officialy listed as supported charger for 14 pro on their website?

No downside aside from slower charging. I usually am on a 15w MagSafe myself, but I have a 30w if I need the quickness.

I want my phone to charge so I use 20w chargers. And I wireless charge. My care for the battery is not existent it should last 2 years. 3rd year needing a battry. So with that said. I don’t care on preserving the battery I care about the device being usable.
